Bernardo graduated summa cum laude from the Management & Technology Program at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. Curious about technology, programming, and data science, he studied Mechanical Engineering and Data Science at UPenn’s School of Engineering and Economics at the Wharton School of Business.
Prior to joining Valor in 2018, Bernardo had summer experiences as an engineer at Selco India in Bangalore, as a consultant at Strategy& in London, and as a quantitative trader at BTG Pactual in São Paulo.
Bernardo is based in New York and is focused on evaluating investment opportunities and supporting portfolio companies. What excites him the most is diving deep into the abyss of uncertainty and having some fun while at it. He is enthusiastic about global trading networks, chaos theory, and loves to geek out with complex adaptive systems.
Bernardo plays the piano and is passionate about classical music – Chopin and Rachmaninoff are his favorite composers. He also enjoys long-distance running, kitesurfing, and cooking Moroccan dishes.
